What The World Eats

This photo is in response to the What The World Eats article that’s making the rounds again. Some of my friends and I did a challenge to show our meal plans for the week so we can see what we actually eat. Many of us are gardeners/homesteaders so what we eat changes seasonally, but this is how I ate this week…before harvest starts. Much of my food is dry goods, home canned, or home dehydrated. So if I took something out of a jar for one of the recipes, I pictured the whole jar. I’m not eating ALL of that 😀

What the world eats

MEAL PLAN

Breakfasts:

Lunches

  • Bean and Cheese Quesadilla (2 meals)
  • Salads with cucumbers, hard boiled eggs, chickpeas, and dressing (3 meals)
  • (2 days will be leftovers from dinner)

Dinners

Snacks

  • Oranges, apples, and pears

FULL LISTING OF WHAT’S PICTURED

Dehydrated carrots, quinoa, kasha, romaine hearts, blue cheese dressing, cucumber, dehydrated onions, garbanzo beans, queso quesadilla ,tortillas, home canned corn, home canned crushed tomatoes, home canned green beans, barley, refried beans, homemade oatmeal mix, home canned baby carrots, kidney beans

parmesan cheese, sunflower seeds, olive oil, spaghetti sauce, frozen berries, sour cream, homemade yogurt, green peppers, granola, tomato juice, home canned veggie broth, apples, pears, orange, and 2 eggs

GROCERIES:

Only the romaine, queso quesadilla, tortillas, green peppers, and pears were bought this week.
