Stuffed Green Pepper Soup

1 cup dry rice, cooked
1 pound hamburger
1/2 onion, chopped
2 green peppers, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
4 ounces mushrooms, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2-29 ounce cans tomato sauce
1-29 ounce can diced tomatoes
2 tsp dry basil
salt and pepper to taste

Cook rice. In a large skillet, brown hamburger and onions. Add garlic and cook until fragrant. In a stockpot, combine cooked rice, hamburger, and remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer gently for 2 hours.
