Around the Homestead

This week I got to help trellis tomatoes in the big greenhouse. We found some decent sized tomatoes hiding in there already. And I included a shot the “csa share” that I picked for myself when we were done.

Spent a few hours weeding the front yard this weekend with good results. When the veggies (cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, brussel sprouts, flowering kale, and tomatoes out front and 3 types of squash in the side yard) fill in, I think it’ll finally look as nice as I’ve been imagining it could

In the back, things are coming right along 🙂

And a little food porn….some of my buyer’s club steak topped with farmers market oyster mushrooms sautéed in butter handmade from Buttercups cream, roasted baby golden beets from my CSA, and a twice baked potato. I’m eating good over here thanks to my local food friends.
